Our Story

Building Legacies since 1998

Laura & Craig Adamski

WHO ARE WE ?

Most builders will tell you they’re different.  We’d rather show you.   It started with a family decision in 2020, a railroad career left behind, and a shared belief that building homes should mean something more than square footage and closing dates.

Legacy Homes was founded on a simple belief: building a home is about more than construction—it’s about creating the place where life happens.

In 2020, Laura Adamski assumed ownership of Legacy Homes, continuing the company her father founded more than two decades earlier. Having worked alongside him since 2012, Laura learned every aspect of the business, from permits and planning to project management and final walkthroughs. When her husband, Craig, left his career with Norfolk Southern Railroad to join the company full-time, they began the next chapter of Legacy Homes together.

Today, Laura and Craig lead a team dedicated to delivering exceptional custom homes, renovations, and additions throughout Georgia and South Carolina. From kitchen remodels and home additions to luxury custom homes, every project receives the same level of attention, communication, and care.

What sets Legacy Homes apart isn’t the size of the project—it’s the relationships we build along the way. We’re not trying to be the largest builder in the region. We’re focused on being the builder our clients confidently recommend to their family, friends, and neighbors.

As a family-owned company, our clients work directly with us throughout the building process. We believe communication should be clear, expectations should be realistic, and promises should be kept. That’s why transparency, craftsmanship, and accountability are at the core of everything we do.

For Laura, the most rewarding part of every project is seeing a family’s reaction when they walk into their completed home for the first time. It’s a reminder that we’re not simply building houses—we’re creating spaces where holidays will be celebrated, children will grow up, and memories will be made for years to come.

Licensed in both Georgia and South Carolina, Legacy Homes proudly serves homeowners throughout the CSRA with one goal in mind: building homes and relationships that last.
One family. One home. One legacy at a time.

OUR MISSION

At Legacy Homes of Georgia, we build more than homes — we build trust, relationships, and lasting value. Guided by integrity and a commitment to excellence, we create meaningful spaces while making the building and remodeling experience positive, personal, and stress-free. Through strong relationships, continuous growth, and quality craftsmanship, we strive to leave a lasting legacy in every home we build.

COMPANY VALUES

Say What We Mean

I’ve learned that most building stress comes from not knowing what’s happening. We send weekly updates, return calls the same day, and explain every decision before we make it. When something goes wrong (and it sometimes does), you’ll hear about it from us first, along with exactly how we’re fixing it.
What this means for you: You’ll never wonder where your project stands or feel left in the dark.

Do What We Say

My team knows that our word is everything. If we commit to a timeline, a budget, or a specific way of handling something, that’s what happens. When we can’t deliver on something we promised, we own it completely and make it right.
What this means for you: You can plan your life around our commitments because we keep them.

Build It Right the First Time

I don’t cut corners to save a few dollars or a few days. Every detail gets done properly, with the right materials and the right methods. We catch problems during construction, not after you’ve moved in. Our work needs to last decades, not just pass inspection.
What this means for you: Your home will work exactly as it should from day one, without callbacks or surprises.

Earn Your Confidence Daily

Trust isn’t something you give us upfront. We earn it through consistent actions over months of working together. Every decision we make, every conversation we have, and every detail we handle is about proving we’re worth the faith you’re placing in us.
What this means for you: You’ll feel more confident in your choice to work with us as the project progresses, not less.

PREFERRED PARTNERS

OUR TRUSTED SUBCONTRACTORS

You shouldn’t have to worry about whether the electrician we bring to your project knows what they’re doing. Or if the plumber will show up when they say they will. When you’re building or renovating your home, you want to know that everyone working on it meets the same standards you’d expect for your own family. That’s why we only work with subcontractors who are fully licensed and insured, and who we’d be comfortable having in our own homes.

PARAGON HOME DESIGNS

ARCHITECTURE & DESIGN

We’ve worked with Paragon on dozens of projects, and they get it. They listen to how you actually live in your home, then translate that into plans that make sense. When we’re in the field and need to solve a problem or make an adjustment, they’re responsive and practical about finding solutions that work.

ELECTRICAL

ROB ZAPATA ELECTRIC

Rob has built a solid reputation in our community by doing things right the first time. He pays attention to the details that matter, whether it’s running clean lines or making sure every outlet is exactly where you need it. I’ve never had to call him back to fix something he’s already done.

PLUMBING

RAY VINTSON PLUMBING

Ray’s been our go-to plumber for years because his work quality matches ours. He takes the same care with the rough-in that’s hidden in your walls as he does with the fixtures you’ll see every day. When Ray says something will work, it works.

It is our pleasure to recommend Laura and Craig w/ Legacy Homes. Building a home can be extremely stressful for any homebuyer. Especially when you have homebuyers that have specific tastes with a ton of custom details involved in the custom build as we did.

Laura and Craig were extremely easy to work with and they listened to all our needs and gave invaluable input throughout the process. Their integrity and professionalism were maintained throughout the entire process. We communicated continuously throughout the building process. To homebuyers’ responsiveness is imperative, it gives the homebuyer a piece of mind.

Some of the special features that we had put into our custom-built home were:

Wooden beams and a built-in window bench seating in the master bedroom.

Sliding glass farm doors in the flex room.

Coffered ceilings with wood in-lay in the kitchen accompanied by a built-in breakfast seating area and an 8-foot island.

Acid wash brick wall in the hall bathroom.

Glass doors leading to the covered back porch overlooking the golf course.

On a very personal note, Laura and Craig help me give my husband a huge surprise in his dedicated office space. I wanted to give my husband a feature brick wall with floating shelves. Laura and Craig were instrumental in making it happen. One day my husband arrived unexpectedly while the feature wall was being installed. Smiling…Laura was at the house, and she texted me a red alert, your husband is here as we were trying to keep this feature a surprise. I called him and lured him from home (smiling).
