Client Stories

Rick & Karen M

Semi-Custom Homes | Evans, GA & Graniteville, SC

Some of the greatest compliments a builder can receive are repeat business and referrals. Rick and Karen have given us both.
Their first home began as one of our existing plans, customized to fit their needs and lot in Bartram Trail. Years later, when they decided to build again on acreage in South Carolina, they trusted Legacy Homes to bring their second vision to life.
Two homes. Two locations. Two unique lifestyles. One trusted building relationship.

Wanda & Rodney M

Custom Golf Course Home | Bartram Trail, Evans, GA

Wanda and Rodney envisioned a custom home that would take full advantage of their golf course views while reflecting their personal style. Together, we designed a one-of-a-kind home featuring custom wood beams, built-in window seating, coffered ceilings, an oversized kitchen island, and thoughtfully designed indoor and outdoor living spaces.
Throughout the project, weekly site meetings and open communication ensured every detail aligned with their vision.
“Building a home can be extremely stressful, especially when you have specific tastes and a ton of custom details. Laura and Craig were extremely easy to work with and listened to all our needs.”
Their completed home is a reflection of their lifestyle, personality, and the memories they’ll create there for years to come.

Deidra J

Storm Restoration & Renovation | Evans, GA

Following significant damage caused by Hurricane Helene, Deidra needed more than repairs—she needed a trusted partner to help restore her home and peace of mind.
Our team coordinated the restoration process, completed the necessary repairs, and returned her home to a safe and beautiful condition while keeping the project on schedule.
“Legacy Homes was timely, met all milestones, and their team was always professional.”
Helping homeowners recover and move forward after a difficult event is some of the most meaningful work we do.

Michelle & Donnie R

Custom Barndominium | McCormick, SC

Michelle and Donnie brought us plans for a custom barndominium on their farm, along with a unique idea: incorporating lumber milled directly from their property into the home’s interior.
The result is a truly one-of-a-kind home that blends rustic character with modern functionality, creating a space that feels deeply connected to the land it sits on.
“It was a pleasant experience working with Craig and Laura. They are very easy to work with, and most of all, they care about delivering a quality home for their customers.”

Edna W

Custom Family Legacy Home | Augusta, GA

For Edna, building a home wasn’t simply about creating a new place to live—it was about honoring her family’s legacy.
Built on her parents’ property, this custom home was designed to celebrate the memories, traditions, and history that made the land so meaningful. Together, we created a one-of-a-kind home that incorporated brick salvaged from her original family home, which her father had built more than 60 years ago.
Those reclaimed bricks became beautiful exterior arches that Edna affectionately calls “my dad’s eyelashes”—a daily reminder of the man who built the home where so many family memories began.
Throughout the design process, Edna brought creative ideas and personal touches that made the home uniquely her own. Working together, we found ways to carry the architectural details she loved throughout the home, creating a seamless connection between the past and the future.
“Working with Laura and Craig was a wonderful experience. I had unique design ideas and wasn’t afraid to ask for something different, and they were always patient, open, and willing to figure out how to make it happen. Legacy didn’t just build me a house—they built a home that reflects my family, my memories, and my vision.”
This project serves as a reminder that a home is more than walls and a roof. It’s where stories live on, memories are preserved, and new generations create a legacy of their own.

John & Diana K

Lake View Semi-Custom Home | Savannah Lakes Village, SC

John and Diana found the perfect lakefront property, but maximizing the views required thoughtful planning and a customized approach. We adapted our Ellie plan to fit their lifestyle, budget, and lot, redesigning the foundation and expanding the deck and screened porch to create a home that fully embraces its surroundings.
Positioning the home correctly was critical to capturing the lake views and creating the outdoor living spaces they envisioned. Through careful planning and collaboration, we transformed a challenging lot into a home that takes full advantage of its natural setting.
As John shared after moving in, “Things that had additional cost were logically and fairly priced and not just some number out of the air.”
Today, they spend their mornings and evenings enjoying the lake and forest views from their expanded outdoor living spaces—exactly as they imagined when they first purchased the property.
