Every project begins with a brief online questionnaire. This gives us a better understanding of your project, goals, timeline, location, and budget before we schedule a conversation. Once we receive your information, we'll reach out to schedule a complimentary 15-minute qualifying call.

During this brief phone call with Laura, we'll discuss your project, answer initial questions, and determine whether Legacy Homes is the right fit for your needs. Our goal is to understand what you're trying to accomplish, explain how we work, and make sure we're a good match before either of us invests significant time in the planning process.

If it appears we're a good fit, we'll schedule a site visit to learn more about your property, discuss your vision in detail, and evaluate the scope of work. This meeting allows us to provide honest feedback about feasibility, timelines, budget expectations, and next steps. If you decide to move forward, we'll enter into a Pre-Construction Agreement so we can begin planning, pricing, and developing your project.

During pre-construction, Laura will work with you and our vendors. We'll work together to make the design decisions and selections needed to bring your project to life. This phase allows us to fully define the scope of work, develop accurate pricing, identify potential challenges, and create a detailed proposal that outlines exactly what is included in your project. Once approved, we'll move forward with your construction agreement.

Laura and Craig will review and finalize all the selections and details of your project with you — answering questions and letting you know exactly what to expect.

Craig will be onsite regularly to inspect for quality. Laura will keep you updated on progress, financials, and getting approval for any changes. This process takes 2-4 weeks depending on the location and project. We handle the permitting process and coordinate with local jurisdictions to obtain the approvals required for construction. Our team manages the paperwork so you don't have to navigate the process on your own.

Once permits are approved, construction begins. Throughout the project, you'll receive regular updates through our BuildBook online portal, including progress photos, schedules, and communication. We also conduct site meetings and walkthroughs so you can see your project firsthand and stay informed every step of the way. Because you'll work directly with Laura and Craig throughout the build, you'll always know who to call when questions arise.

As construction nears completion, we'll conduct a detailed final walkthrough together to ensure every aspect of your project meets expectations. After all required inspections are completed and your Certificate of Occupancy is issued, we'll hand over the keys and celebrate the completion of your new home.

Our relationship doesn't end when construction is complete. Every home includes a one-year builder warranty as well as a 2-10 structural warranty for added peace of mind. We conduct follow-up warranty visits at approximately 30 days and 11 months to address any concerns and ensure your home is performing as intended. We're committed to standing behind our work long after move-in day.

I would highly recommend Legacy Homes of Georgia as your choice for a builder. Laura and Craig set expectations upfront in reference to the build process. Met and exceeded those expectations and also had a great experience with communication during the process. Very much appreciated as I was not in the area.
